I draw from my encounters with places and people. We often discover meaningful lessons through conversations and travels, which translate into a rich narrative. I enhance these narratives by creating a world around the themes I am exploring, where the viewer can relate and also feel that they are journeying through and glimpsing into another world. Communicating and connecting with people through my work, telling stories that are valued by others are important to me. I find it exciting how illustration is able to convey something that is strange and impossible. Parallel worlds mixed in with the ordinary. It is through drawing that I articulate my experiences and surroundings. It is a place of curiosity. I want to contribute in creating a culture where we share our own personal stories through the medium of illustration.
