Underbelly of the Brown Tree Toad (Rentapia hossi), The Heart of Borneo rainforest

On the world's largest island, deep in a south east asian rainforest lies Tane'Olen, the forbidden forest, which inhabits six percent of the entire worlds biodiversity. The World Wide Fund for Nature initiated a conservation agreement called The Heart of Borneo, which protects two hundred and twenty thousand square kilometers of forested terrain and its ecological, biological and cultural richness. As part of the first rapid visual assessment in the ‘Heart of Borneo’ region, I chose to photograph the forest ambassadors and climate indicators; frogs and toads.
